The Development of a UK Culturally Adapted Version of the Person Attuned Musical Interactions Manual: Protocol for a 2-Phase Mixed Methods Study

On the basis of cultural adaptation intervention research [49,50], a UK version of PAMI was developed by a team of researchers at the University of Nottingham to ensure that PAMI was culturally appropriate for UK care homes (Waters, B, Orrell, M, and Mc Dermott, O, unpublished data, March 2023). The researchers followed 2 cultural adaptation frameworks, the Barrera and Castro [51] framework and the Formative Method for Adapting Psychotherapy [52], to guide the development process.
