Identification and Categorization of the Distinct Purposes Underpinning the Use of Digital Health Care Self-Monitoring: Qualitative Study of Stakeholders in the Health Care Ecosystem

Identification and Categorization of the Distinct Purposes Underpinning the Use of Digital Health Care Self-Monitoring: Qualitative Study of Stakeholders in the Health Care Ecosystem

What behaviors are related to better health outcomes? What are the normal values for the patient? How can the patient gain better self-awareness about the disease and its progression? How does the patient know that a change in treatment or lifestyle behavior is an improvement? How can we involve patients more in their health? What is the health status of the individual patient? Does the patient adhere to the interventions? How well does a certain intervention (treatment, therapy, etc) work?

Impact of a Symptom Checker App on Patient-Physician Interaction Among Self-Referred Walk-In Patients in the Emergency Department: Multicenter, Parallel-Group, Randomized, Controlled Trial

Impact of a Symptom Checker App on Patient-Physician Interaction Among Self-Referred Walk-In Patients in the Emergency Department: Multicenter, Parallel-Group, Randomized, Controlled Trial

This stratification of emergency care is designed to ensure that inpatient resources are reserved for urgently triaged patients. Key inclusion criteria were self-referred walk-in patients aged 18 years or older with sufficient German or English language proficiency, the ability to provide informed consent, and a treatment urgency rating of yellow, green, or blue according to the Manchester Triage System (ie, MTS 3-5, respectively) as assigned by the triage nurse.

Home-Based Nonimmersive Virtual Reality Training After Discharge From Inpatient or Outpatient Stroke Rehabilitation: Parallel Feasibility Randomized Controlled Trial

If their data are included, the average weeks since stroke was 24.0 (SD 22.7). The qualitative data were used to contextualize the quantitative data associated with each component of the primary (feasibility) objective.

Insights Into How mHealth Applications Could Be Introduced Into Standard Hypertension Care in Germany: Qualitative Study With German Cardiologists and General Practitioners

Rather, physicians’ response behavior is characterized by heterogeneity. m Health apps are generally accepted by physicians, as long as they are not part of their daily medical routines. This means that they are certainly open-minded but not in their own care settings, especially due to a lack of experience in using m Health apps. Well, I have to answer that in such a way that it is neutral, so to speak, because I simply do not have enough experience so far. I do not think I need it in my daily routine.

Disease Prediction Using Machine Learning on Smartphone-Based Eye, Skin, and Voice Data: Scoping Review

Disease Prediction Using Machine Learning on Smartphone-Based Eye, Skin, and Voice Data: Scoping Review

The ubiquity of smartphones makes them a convenient tool to gather various health-related data, particularly as smartphones are equipped with various sensors that are able to track and gather different health-related information [16]. However, there is a lack of research on studies involving the adoption of smartphones for disease prediction using machine learning methods and identifying the types of experiments conducted, databases utilized, and machine learning methods used.

The Perceptions of Potential Prerequisites for Artificial Intelligence in Danish General Practice: Vignette-Based Interview Study Among General Practitioners

The Perceptions of Potential Prerequisites for Artificial Intelligence in Danish General Practice: Vignette-Based Interview Study Among General Practitioners

Robust safety measures are essential to ensure that tasks handled by AI are appropriately followed by GPs or other practice staff, even if the information is not immediately necessary. In addition, a “backstop” mechanism should be integrated into the EHR to collect and safeguard any AI-handled information that has not been acknowledged by a GP or other practice staff, ensuring no data is overlooked or mishandled.

Exploratory Co-Design on Electronic Health Record Nursing Summaries: Case Study

Exploratory Co-Design on Electronic Health Record Nursing Summaries: Case Study

Given time constraints, nurses review vast amounts of patient information in electronic health records (EHRs) at the beginning of each shift; thus, effective tools for summarizing patient information are crucial [2].

Benefits and Barriers to mHealth in Hypertension Care: Qualitative Study With German Health Care Professionals

In Germany, the following professional groups are primarily involved in the treatment of people with hypertension. General practitioners play a central role in the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term care of patients with hypertension. They are often the first point of contact for patients with hypertension and coordinate further care.
