A detailed description of the target user, sample size, hypothesis of the study, and inclusion and exclusion criteria was previously described by Dickson et al [14]. If participants were interested, they provided informed consent to participate in the study and were subsequently randomized to determine whether they had received the Pulsewatch system. The study staff provided the smartwatch and smartphone devices, extensive training, and written information detailing device operation.
