Older Adults’ Perspectives on Participating in a Synchronous Online Exercise Program: Qualitative Study

Older Adults’ Perspectives on Participating in a Synchronous Online Exercise Program: Qualitative Study

Yeah, it’s like exercise should be long-term or lifetime commitment… it can really benefit you through your own lifetime. I have the attitude exercise is important for everybody, but it’s especially important as we get older. I need physical exercise. My body feels better. Two participants discussed the reasons for seeking out opportunities to increase their PA. If I joined the program at least it would give me a reason to get up and get started in exercise.

Infoveillance of COVID-19 Infections in Dentistry Using Platform X: Descriptive Study

Since the API makes it possible to construct queries up to 1024 characters, we were able to search using long queries where we tried to include all possible keywords used in dental care, for example, dental hygienist, dental therapist, dental nurse, or dentist patient, to name a few.

Improving Early Dementia Detection Among Diverse Older Adults With Cognitive Concerns With the 5-Cog Paradigm: Protocol for a Hybrid Effectiveness-Implementation Clinical Trial

Improving Early Dementia Detection Among Diverse Older Adults With Cognitive Concerns With the 5-Cog Paradigm: Protocol for a Hybrid Effectiveness-Implementation Clinical Trial

Studies have long noted deficiencies and delays in individuals receiving a dementia diagnosis [3-12]. The World Health Organization’s Global Action Plan on Dementia includes a focus on the right to a timely dementia diagnosis to enable better planning, treatment, care, support, and quality of life [13]; for example, timely diagnosis can help individuals avoid preventable accidents and injuries leading to care escalation and can reduce distress for patients and caregivers [9,14-16].

Evaluation of the Tu’Washindi Na PrEP Intervention to Reduce Gender-Based Violence and Increase Preexposure Prophylaxis Uptake and Adherence Among Kenyan Adolescent Girls and Young Women: Protocol for a Cluster Randomized Controlled Trial

Potential participants are excluded if they are living with HIV (by self-report); planning any long-term travel or relocation in the next 12 months; or have any condition that the site PI or designee determines would preclude participation. Individuals who do not meet the criteria for participation in this trial (ie, screen failure) because of criteria that are likely to change over time may be rescreened. Examples include not being resident of the ward or not being interested in taking Pr EP.

Accelerometry-Assessed Physical Activity and Circadian Rhythm to Detect Clinical Disability Status in Multiple Sclerosis: Cross-Sectional Study

Accelerometry-Assessed Physical Activity and Circadian Rhythm to Detect Clinical Disability Status in Multiple Sclerosis: Cross-Sectional Study

The limitations of the EDSS lead to long delays in confirming that a person has transitioned from RRMS to PMS and also inflate the sample size and follow-up time required for MS trials for which disability progression is the primary end point [4,5]. Triaxial accelerometry is a safe and relatively inexpensive tool that may offer an objective and sensitive measure of disability in people with MS.

Examining Quality of Work Life in Atlantic Canadian Long-Term Care Homes: Protocol for a Cross-Sectional Survey Study

Examining Quality of Work Life in Atlantic Canadian Long-Term Care Homes: Protocol for a Cross-Sectional Survey Study

This protocol is for a collaborative investigation that aims to address profound deficiencies in data to understand, support, and manage the long-term care (LTC) workforce in Canada’s 4 Atlantic provinces. In Canada, LTC homes are funded by provincial governments and provide a range of health and personal care services to predominantly older adults who require 24-hour nursing, personal, and support care [1].

Perception and Evaluation of a Knowledge Transfer Concept in a Digital Health Application for Patients With Heart Failure: Mixed Methods Study

Perception and Evaluation of a Knowledge Transfer Concept in a Digital Health Application for Patients With Heart Failure: Mixed Methods Study

In the long-term, low health literacy is associated with an increased risk for hospitalizations and death in patients with heart failure [13]. To effectively deliver information to patients and achieve learning effects, mobile health technology offers great potential. This applies to populations with low health literacy in particular [14-16].
