Improving Maternal Mental Health and Weight Control With a Mindfulness Blended Care Approach: Insights From a Randomized Controlled Trial

Improving Maternal Mental Health and Weight Control With a Mindfulness Blended Care Approach: Insights From a Randomized Controlled Trial

Little’s Missing-completely-at-random test was used to ensure that missing data due to dropouts and missing values were valid for our analyses [36] Moreover, the groups were tested for comparability regarding sociodemographic and medical third variables by means of t tests, Mann-Whitney U tests and chi-square tests. If differences were significant, the respective variables were analyzed for associations with the outcome variables and included as covariates.

Engagement With an Internet-Administered, Guided, Low-Intensity Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Intervention for Parents of Children Treated for Cancer: Analysis of Log-Data From the ENGAGE Feasibility Trial

Participants excluded due to criteria 1-3 were directed to appropriate health care services. Parents were recruited into ENGAGE using 2 main approaches. First, personal identification numbers of children were obtained from the Swedish Childhood Cancer Registry (National Quality Registry) and linked to parents’ names and addresses through NAVET, a registry held by the Swedish Tax Agency.

Mass Casualty Incident Training in Immersive Virtual Reality: Quasi-Experimental Evaluation of Multimethod Performance Indicators

Mass Casualty Incident Training in Immersive Virtual Reality: Quasi-Experimental Evaluation of Multimethod Performance Indicators

Whether those situations are due to natural disasters, accidents, or terrorist attacks, peak performance of MFRs under such demanding circumstances is crucial. However, current MCI training is insufficient to prepare MFRs adequately for MCIs due to low immersion and realism of classroom learning and scarce real-life exercises that are typically used [2-4].

Refining Established Practices for Research Question Definition to Foster Interdisciplinary Research Skills in a Digital Age: Consensus Study With Nominal Group Technique

Refining Established Practices for Research Question Definition to Foster Interdisciplinary Research Skills in a Digital Age: Consensus Study With Nominal Group Technique

Such interdisciplinary collaborations are often faced with challenges due to the seemingly conflicting research approaches between the disciplines. In addition to differences in terminologies and concept definitions, the prevailing emphasis of linear deductive approaches in health research contrasts with the often more explorative and iterative approaches used in data science [7].

Attitudes of German General Practitioners Toward eHealth Apps for Dementia Risk Reduction: Qualitative Interview Study

Attitudes of German General Practitioners Toward eHealth Apps for Dementia Risk Reduction: Qualitative Interview Study

In Germany, 38% of dementia cases are estimated to be due to 11 modifiable risk factors [4]. The use of e Health apps has garnered considerable attention as a potential tool to assist in promoting brain health and mitigating dementia risk [5]. General practitioners (GPs) working in primary care usually consult their patients regularly and could potentially identify risk factors and early markers of dementia.

Trends in Prescription of Stimulants and Narcoleptic Drugs in Switzerland: Longitudinal Health Insurance Claims Analysis for the Years 2014-2021

Trends in Prescription of Stimulants and Narcoleptic Drugs in Switzerland: Longitudinal Health Insurance Claims Analysis for the Years 2014-2021

Prevalence can be different due to varying diagnostic methods per country. In Switzerland, a prevalence of 5.2% was found in children aged 7 to 17 years and in adult men a prevalence of 4% [2,3]. Prescriptions of stimulant drugs have been increasing at various rates over the past decades, with methylphenidate showing an 8.2 fold increase from 1996 to 2013 [4,5]. In the United States, amphetamine and methylphenidate increased from 5.6% to 6.1% in adults aged 20 years or older between 2014 and 2019 [4,5].

An Evidence-Based Nurse-Led Intervention to Reduce Diabetes Distress Among Adults With Type 1 Diabetes and Diabetes Distress (REDUCE): Development of a Complex Intervention Using Qualitative Methods Informed by the Medical Research Council Framework

This might be partly due to structural barriers, such as limited time for consultations, but may also involve a lack of training and tools to address psychosocial aspects of diabetes within clinical care [10,12,13]. A recommended approach to detecting diabetes distress is to use diabetes-specific questionnaires [9,14]. The Type 1 Diabetes Distress Scale is a reliable and valid 28-item self-report instrument developed to uncover the multidimensionality of diabetes distress.
