Disease Prediction Using Machine Learning on Smartphone-Based Eye, Skin, and Voice Data: Scoping Review

Disease Prediction Using Machine Learning on Smartphone-Based Eye, Skin, and Voice Data: Scoping Review

However, all i OS- or Android-based apps developed for health care purposes have not been discussed in the literature [10]. A literature review is a systematic way of collecting studies relevant to a research topic, assessing the methodologies and results of the studies, and making recommendations for improvements if necessary [11].

Assessment of Health System Readiness and Quality of Dementia Services in Peru: Protocol for a Qualitative Study With Stakeholder Interviews and Documentation Review

The concept of tracer conditions can help facilitate understanding the complexity of health systems and the challenges LMICs face [7,8]. Using tracers in health systems research is based on the premise that focusing on carefully selected health problems allows for the identification of weaknesses within the system and facilitates more direct insight of its performance [7,8].

Public Attitudes Toward Violence Against Doctors: Sentiment Analysis of Chinese Users

The Global Health Workforce Statistics database of the World Health Organization (WHO) highlights an increasing trend in medical disputes driven by inequitable distribution of medical resources and heightened pressures on health care systems [1]. The WHO’s “Global Strategy on Human Resources for Health: Workforce 2030” emphasizes the importance of equitable access to health care workers and robust health systems to address and prevent doctor-patient disputes [2].

DD reduces secondary health care use without causing a shift to primary health care use, while patient-reported outcomes (eg, functional outcome and satisfaction scores) and adverse outcomes (eg, complications and persistent complaints) are comparable [3,4]. These results and the usefulness of this method during COVID-19 social distancing measurements have led to a rapid uptake of DD in the Netherlands for 12 frequent injuries at the ED [6].

Establishing Syndromic Surveillance of Acute Coronary Syndrome, Myocardial Infarction, and Stroke: Registry Study Based on Routine Data From German Emergency Departments

Establishing Syndromic Surveillance of Acute Coronary Syndrome, Myocardial Infarction, and Stroke: Registry Study Based on Routine Data From German Emergency Departments

The Robert Koch Institute (RKI), a federal agency and research institute responsible for disease control and prevention in Germany, has recognized the practical benefits of this approach. At the RKI, an ED syndromic surveillance system has been established in 2020, using daily routine data from the German Emergency Department Data Registry AKTIN [2]. Currently, 58 EDs in 12 German federal states voluntarily provide data for research and surveillance purposes.

Participation in OHCs for individuals living with LTCs could address part of the health care service demand and indirectly improve access to health care [6]. The analysis of the role of OHCs in health promotion and management of LTCs indicates that there might be a positive effect on patients’ perception of social support, health literacy, clinical outcomes, and behavior change [7,8].

Assessment of Environmental, Sociocultural, and Physiological Influences on Women’s Toileting Decisions and Behaviors Using “Where I Go”: Pilot Study of a Mobile App

Assessment of Environmental, Sociocultural, and Physiological Influences on Women’s Toileting Decisions and Behaviors Using “Where I Go”: Pilot Study of a Mobile App

Due to the difficulty in measuring real-world influences by diary, survey, or interview, scientific studies lack evidence for many hypothesized relationships between sociocultural and physical environment factors and onset or worsening of LUTS or deterioration of bladder health. To address this gap, the Prevention of Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (PLUS) Research Consortium developed a smartphone app called “Where I Go.”

Impact of a Virtual Reality Intervention on Stigma, Empathy, and Attitudes Toward Patients With Psychotic Disorders Among Mental Health Care Professionals: Randomized Controlled Trial

Impact of a Virtual Reality Intervention on Stigma, Empathy, and Attitudes Toward Patients With Psychotic Disorders Among Mental Health Care Professionals: Randomized Controlled Trial

Based on extant data, we hypothesized that it could improve attitudes, reduce stigma, and enhance empathy toward patients with psychotic disorders among mental health care professionals. The study was a 2-arm, randomized controlled trial and was approved by the Institutional Review Boards at the Institute of Mental Health (IRRC number: 818-2022) and National Healthcare Group (IRB number 2023/00027) in Singapore. The VR intervention was created using Unreal Engine [26].

Association Between Intergenerational Support, Technology Perception and Trust, and Intention to Seek Medical Care on the Internet Among Chinese Older Adults: Cross-Sectional Questionnaire Study

According to the 52nd China Internet Network Information Center report [3], China has 364 million internet medical care users, accounting for 33.8% of all internet users. The number of online hospitals continues to grow, and the development of large-scale online medical care platforms shows strong momentum. The World Health Organization has encouraged member states to actively use digital technologies to improve medical, health, and social services, thereby promoting active aging [4].
