From the extended-cosine models, we extracted measures of 24-hour robustness (pseudo-F statistic, indicating how well the observed data fits the 24-hour curve); activity onset time (up-mesor, the time which the modeled activity level passes the middle modeled rhythm height prior to the peak); and activity offset time (down-mesor or the time which the modeled activity level passes the middle modeled rhythm height prior to the nadir).

However, we do not expect that these are likely risks for patients participating in the study in part because messages provided by the chatbot have been prewritten and approved by clinicians and the chatbot is not using in-the-moment generative AI technologies to respond, such that it cannot create separate content or go off-script.

Timed Up and Go (TUG) test, which tests ambulatory function. A total of 3 variations were administered: original, manual dual-task (carrying a cup of water), and cognitive dual-task (counting backward in 7’s from 100) [37-40].
Five Times Sit-To-Stand (FTSTS) test, which assesses lower-extremity strength [41,42]. Responsiveness to change has not been confirmed in stroke populations.
Community Balance and Mobility (CB&M) Scale, which tests more difficult tasks relevant to community ambulation [43,44].

The study complied with the 1964 Helsinki Declaration and its later amendments and was approved by the Ethics Committee of the Lega F. D’Oro, Osimo (AN), Italy (P030820241).
Figures 2 reports the data for Liam, Hallie, Logan, and Kali and Figure 3 reports the data for Harper, Jacob, Millie, and Isabel over the different phases of the study. Each data point represents the mean frequency of responses per session over a block (group) of sessions.
