The color scale in Figure 2 represents the median number of daily steps, ranging from red (fewer steps) to green (more steps), highlighting variations in physical activity levels across countries and over time. Countries with darker green shades indicate higher levels of physical activity, while darker red shades reflect lower activity levels. In Figure 3, changes in the median number of steps taken are displayed across four categories of countries, distinguished by the size of the user base.
