We conducted a retrospective, observational study using provincial surveillance data on laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases reported between January 23, 2020, and December 13, 2020, in the Greater Toronto Area (population: 7.1 million) [17] and in accordance with the RECORD (Reporting of Studies Conducted Using Observational Routinely-Collected Data) statement [18].
