Multimedia Appendix 2 summarizes the attributes of various tools in web-based platforms for engagement, which were noted by participants interviewed in this study. Considering the breadth of platforms available to teams, we have provided additional details regarding the attributes valued by participants, such as security and privacy, along with other noteworthy benefits and challenges. Participants voiced several challenges associated with successful engagement on web-based platforms.
