Building a Decentralized Biobanking App for Research Transparency and Patient Engagement: Participatory Design Study

This variation in patient knowledge regarding biobanking, even among those who already consented to biospecimen donation, limits the ability to fully capture and address diverse patient preferences. Across the surveys and workshops, questions and app content were iterated upon as app screens were finalized, new topics were raised by participants, and data saturation was reached through survey responses and follow-up interviews.

Exploring the Potential of an Eye Tissue Donor Reporting App in Enhancing the Procurement of Corneal Donors: Mixed Methods Observational Study

In this study, we explore the potential of using a donor reporting application as a means to enhance the tissue donation process. Ethical approval for this study was obtained from the institutional review board of the Medical University of Silesia (Katowice, Poland), and adherence to the tenets of the Declaration of Helsinki was ensured. Participation was voluntary, and informed consent was obtained from all participants before inclusion in the study.
