Clinicians’ Perspective on Implementing Virtual Hospital Care for Low Back Pain: Qualitative Study

Clinicians’ Perspective on Implementing Virtual Hospital Care for Low Back Pain: Qualitative Study

A summary of barriers to and enablers of virtual hospital care from the point of view of clinicians was developed. Demonstrative quotes supporting key themes were identified and used to support the findings. Data were analyzed using NVivo (QSR International) software and reported according to the COREQ (Consolidated Criteria for Reporting Qualitative Research) checklist [20]. A summary of the findings is provided in Figure 1. Barriers, enablers, and model of care features suggested by participants.

Enabling Rural Telehealth for Older Adults in Underserved Rural Communities: Focus Group Study

Enabling Rural Telehealth for Older Adults in Underserved Rural Communities: Focus Group Study

A qualitative approach was used to determine the barriers to and enablers of telehealth in rural communities. Qualitative research techniques use interactive methods [23] and an approach that assumes that individuals see their reality from a set of values, attitudes, and beliefs that reflect their life experiences [24]. Group methods are an effective means of gaining such insights [25].

Scale-up of Digital Innovations in Health Care: Expert Commentary on Enablers and Barriers

This last workshop session forms the basis for the method used to identify the relevant set of enablers and barriers. The discussion during the last session of the workshop followed a structured approach. To this end, 2 topic leaders—one each for the topics of barriers and enablers—were determined. The remaining participants were then split into 2 groups. Both groups undertook a 2-round group process, with discussions on barriers and enablers.
