Epidemiological Characteristics of Intestinal Protozoal Infections and Their Risk Factors in Malaysia: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis Protocol

Immunodiagnostic approaches targeting parasite antigens or host antibodies improve sensitivity and specificity. Despite advances, there is no one-size-fits-all strategy for diagnosis, which requires careful evaluation of aspects such as the suspected parasite, the nature of the sample, and the resources available [8]. A comprehensive approach may involve a combination of microscopic, molecular, and immunodiagnostic approaches to ensure accurate detection and treatment of intestinal protozoal infections.
