Investigating Reddit Data on Type 2 Diabetes Management During the COVID-19 Pandemic Using Latent Dirichlet Allocation Topic Modeling and Valence Aware Dictionary for Sentiment Reasoning Analysis: Content Analysis

These data supports our finding that discussions among people with T2 D on Reddit offer insights from a holistic perspective, considering various aspects of a person’s life related to their disease. For all posts in the dataset, the mean compound sentiment score as per the VADER algorithm was 0.23 (95% CI, 0.23‐0.24). As this score is above the threshold of 0.05, we conclude that, on an average, posts in the Reddit communities for people with diabetes were positive.
