Optimizing the Pharmacotherapy of Vascular Surgery Patients at Hospital Admission and Discharge (PHAROS): Protocol for a Quasi-Experimental Clinical Uncontrolled Trial

Optimizing the Pharmacotherapy of Vascular Surgery Patients at Hospital Admission and Discharge (PHAROS): Protocol for a Quasi-Experimental Clinical Uncontrolled Trial

Identification of drug-related problems (DRPs) and proposal of solutions for DRPs by hospital pharmacists is a tool to ensure safe and effective pharmacotherapy for patients [8,9]. The Pharmaceutical Care Network Europe Association (PCNE) defines a DRP as a problem, event, or circumstance related to pharmacotherapy that affects or has the potential to affect a desired therapeutic effect [10]. An example is the arbitrary withdrawal of metformin by patients due to persistent diarrhea [11].

Factors Influencing the Intentions of Patients With Inflammatory Rheumatic Diseases to Use a Digital Human for Medication Information: Qualitative Study

Pharmacotherapy is a cornerstone treatment for patients with inflammatory rheumatic diseases (IRDs) [1]. Although disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs) are highly effective in reducing disease activity and increasing daily functioning, patients with IRDs frequently experience drug-related problems (DRPs). Previous research demonstrated that patients with IRDs report on average 5 DRPs within 8 weeks, such as side effects, difficulties with medication management, and information needs [2].

Telemedicine Prescribing by US Mental Health Care Providers: National Cross-Sectional Survey

Recognizing that safe prescribing can depend upon individual patient characteristics and contextual factors aside from telemedicine use or pharmacotherapy, we designed the Likert scale to measure how often medications of a given schedule can be prescribed safely via telemedicine. Optional open-ended items prompted participants to elaborate upon their responses.
