Yoga has been shown to reduce pain and improve function in populations with chronic low back pain (CLBP) in multiple randomized controlled trials (RCTs) [1,2]. However, results vary, and effects are generally modest [3]. This variation is perhaps due to differences in the specific neurobiological mechanisms through which yoga exerts clinical improvements on pain that are affected by different yoga interventions.
