Therefore, dance has become an accessible sport, and compared to other activities such as marathon running or swimming, is easier for patients to perform in terms of space and time. A meta-analysis comparing dance to other exercises found that adherence and dropout rates for dance were better than those for other forms of exercise [21]. Previous studies have shown that regular dance therapy can benefit hypertension management in patients [22-30].

Efficacy of Digital Dance on Brain Imagery, Cognition, and Health: Randomized Controlled Trial
The intervention group played a digital somatosensory dance game (DANZ BASE; International Games System Company) at a community health center; these sessions, each lasting ≥30 minutes (including a 5-7–minute warm-up and cooldown), took place twice weekly for 6 months.
In each digital somatosensory dance game session, participants danced to 3 songs categorized as 1, 2, or 3 stars according to the increasing complexity of the dance movements.

Dance is a popular physical activity among young girls [29] that can positively influence physical health outcomes [30], motor skills [31], and psychological well-being [32,33]. Through the expressive, creative, and aesthetic aspects of physical activity, dance holds potential to enhance body awareness and improve poor body image, which in turn strengthens self-esteem [34,35].

Many specific PA programs, such as yoga and aerobic dance, have not yet been studied in this population [16] despite being recommended by several rheumatology organizations such as the Arthritis Foundation and being popular among youths, especially females [23,24]. The fact that yoga and aerobic dance appeal to female adolescents may encourage them to adopt and adhere to these programs longer [23-25].

Dance for Adults With Fibromyalgia—What Do We Know About It? Protocol for a Scoping Review
Dance may or may not include music; although dance movements could be called “functional” (eg, bending, walking, reaching), the goal of dance movement is the deliberate and purposeful expression of the body itself through movement [11].
There is evidence describing benefits of dance for chronic disease conditions.
