Virtual Patients Using Large Language Models: Scalable, Contextualized Simulation of Clinician-Patient Dialogue With Feedback

Virtual Patients Using Large Language Models: Scalable, Contextualized Simulation of Clinician-Patient Dialogue With Feedback

For the 3 novel instruments, we conducted a validation study collecting validity evidence from 4 of 5 potential sources [39,40]: content (ie, grounding of the instruments in theory and prior empirical work); internal structure (ie, rating reproducibility); relations with other variables (ie, sensitivity of ratings to case differences, including expectation of higher ratings for more advanced LLM models and human clinician personas); and response process (ie, clarification on why raters responded as they did)

Environmental Impact of Physical Visits and Telemedicine in Nursing Care at Home: Comparative Life Cycle Assessment

Environmental Impact of Physical Visits and Telemedicine in Nursing Care at Home: Comparative Life Cycle Assessment

To verify the robustness of the findings, we performed sensitivity analyses to test the effects of underlying database choices in the LCA model. Monte Carlo simulations of 1000 runs served as an uncertainty analysis for the investigated reference scenarios, using reported ranges of collected data and pedigree matrix-computed ranges of background data [24].

Epidemiological Characteristics of Intestinal Protozoal Infections and Their Risk Factors in Malaysia: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis Protocol

Epidemiological Characteristics of Intestinal Protozoal Infections and Their Risk Factors in Malaysia: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis Protocol

Molecular approaches such as real-time polymerase chain reaction offer increased sensitivity and efficiency and require only 1 sample for testing. Immunodiagnostic approaches targeting parasite antigens or host antibodies improve sensitivity and specificity. Despite advances, there is no one-size-fits-all strategy for diagnosis, which requires careful evaluation of aspects such as the suspected parasite, the nature of the sample, and the resources available [8].

Comparison of Smart Display Versus Laptop Platforms for an eHealth Intervention to Improve Functional Health for Older Adults With Multiple Chronic Conditions: Protocol for a Randomized Clinical Trial

Comparison of Smart Display Versus Laptop Platforms for an eHealth Intervention to Improve Functional Health for Older Adults With Multiple Chronic Conditions: Protocol for a Randomized Clinical Trial

Results indicated that 282 participants after attrition would be needed for 80% power (P With regard to power for moderation analyses, we ran a sensitivity analysis to compute the smallest effect size our study would be powered to find using 280 given 4 groups (eg, 2 study arms × 2 genders). With N=280, G*Power calculations [63] show our study would have a 95% chance (with P Patients will complete surveys at baseline, 6, 12, and 18 months.

Investigating Measurement Equivalence of Smartphone Sensor–Based Assessments: Remote, Digital, Bring-Your-Own-Device Study

Investigating Measurement Equivalence of Smartphone Sensor–Based Assessments: Remote, Digital, Bring-Your-Own-Device Study

To corroborate the findings, a sensitivity analysis was run, which used the median as the test statistic difference (instead of the mean difference) of the permutation test. In a separate analysis, smartphones were compared against tablets to evaluate the impact of screen size on measurement equivalence. Differences between smartphones and tablets were assessed for statistical significance with the Mann-Whitney U Test. Smartphone data were available for 2010 participants aged 18 years and older.

Improving Early Dementia Detection Among Diverse Older Adults With Cognitive Concerns With the 5-Cog Paradigm: Protocol for a Hybrid Effectiveness-Implementation Clinical Trial

Improving Early Dementia Detection Among Diverse Older Adults With Cognitive Concerns With the 5-Cog Paradigm: Protocol for a Hybrid Effectiveness-Implementation Clinical Trial

In our validation study, PMIS was shown to have high validity for distinguishing older adults with cognitive impairment from those without, regardless of age, sex, education, or presence of depression (sensitivity and specificity >90%) as well as excellent reliability (intraclass correlation 0.91) [37,38]. The second item in the 5-Cog battery is the Symbol Match [39], developed by one of our coinvestigators (EFW).
